What is the world of your story?
Assignment: Film a minimum of 50 shots ranging from 10- 60 seconds to
create a visual journal of your location.
To communicate
your ideas and feelings in a clear way, try to think critically about your
location after your initial viewing.
What statement about the location do you want to make? Can you make the formal elements of your
images reflect your feelings and observations about this location? After you begin shooting images and looking
at them on the LCD screen, you might realize that that your images say
something different than you intended—be willing to change or adapt your
shooting style and your ideas. A large part of aesthetic intelligence consists
of an awareness of accidents and a readiness to employ them to creative effect
